Hindi workshop held at BHU

VARANASI: In a bid to promote the use of Hindi language at workplace, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) organised a Hindi workshop for non-teaching staff of the university during the Hindi Week celebrations at central office on Friday. According to Hindi officer, Vichitrasen Gupta, a training to work on a special Hindi software was given to the non-teaching staff on the occasion. They were also informed about several other such softwares and Hindi softs to work in Hindi language effectively.

Meanwhile, different programmes were held in the city to comemorated Hindi Day and Hindi Week celebrations. A meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee, ministry of Steel, government of India chaired by Union minister, Beni Prasad Verma was held in the city on Friday to discuss the promotion of Hindi language.

The minister assured that the creative suggestions given by the members of the committee will be considered in the ministry and also promised maximum use of Hindi language in future. On the other hand, North Eastern Railways (NER) is also organising a Hindi Day programme and Hindi fortnight to mark the occasion.
