VARANASI: The Madhuban Park of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will soon look different as the foundation stone for a new free style garden was laid by the vice chancellor of the university, Dr Lalji Singh on Thursday. The park will have a unique features which will display the portrait of the founder of the university, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya through water. The park will have many interesting features including children's park, ladies' corner, rock garden, Mughal and Japanese gardens.

In the same line, to beautify the varsity campus, foundation stones of a fountain was also laid on the occasion in front of the Women's College, BHU. This fountain will have a 12 feet idol of Goddess Saraswati.
Meanwhile, Dr Singh inaugurated a fountain at Sir Sundar Lal (SSL) Hospital premises. The fountain is one of its kind and is made from a budget of Rs 68,000. The V-C also inaugurated a health service complex for the university employees. This complex has been prepared at a cost of Rs 1 crores 90 lakh. The complex consist of a medicine distribution counter, registration desk and many other facilities.
In coming days, the health complex will also have the facilities like X-ray, ultrasound, pathology, physiotherapy and yoga clinics. Registrar, BHU, Dr GS Yadav, dean of students, Dr VK Singh, finance officer, Abhay Kumar Thakur, director, IMS, BHU Dr RG Singh and others were present on the occasion.
