Worlds Slimmest Smartphone – Gionee Elife S5.5

Gionee recently unveiled the world’s slimmest smartphone Gionee Elife S5.5. The world’s thinnest smartphone was revealed at Mobile World Congress 2014 which is taking place in Barcelona, Spain which is the biggest mobile event where different manufacturers launch their latest smartphones. The thickness of this smartphone is just 5.5 mm which makes it the thinnest smartphone which is ever built till now and we think that this is going to be the slimmest smartphone in the future too.

Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a big 5-inch Super AMOLED display which provide a great widescreen view for all the videos and movies you play. So you can enjoy all your movies and games in High Definition in Gionee Elife S5.5. It has been said that the touchscreen which comes in Gionee Elife S5.5 is able to render the visuals in Full High Definition resolution which provides a great view. It also comes with multi-touch feature. Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a 5 Mega Pixel camera which is mounted at an angle of 95 degrees and yeah this is not the rear camera, we are talking about the front camera. The front 5 Mega Pixel camera is great for taking selfies and will provide great quality while you are making video calls.

The world’s slimmest smartphone comes with a 13 Mega Pixel camera. If you are camera lover and love to click videos and take shots then Gionee Elife S5.5 is the smartphone for you. It comes with dual LED flash allowing you to take pictures in dark backgrounds and it also comes with auto focus feature. Elife S5.5 comes with charm camera feature along with footprint mode, auto wake up mode.
Coming to the processor, Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a massive octa core 1.7 Ghz processor. With 1.7 Ghz octa core processor and 2 GB Ram you will be able to play all your games and do multitasking at its peak. Gionee Elife S5.5 takes its power from 2300 mAh battery which is non removable. We think that 2300 mAh battery won’t be enough as the smartphone comes with a massive processor. Gionee should have at least provided 3000 mAh battery for longer battery backup of the smartphone.

Gionee Elife S5.5 will run on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean Operating system. Gionee should have provided Android KitKat as the operating system as most of the smartphones which are coming these days are having Android KitKat installed in it, but we think that Gionee will soon provide an upgrade to the operating system of the smartphone, however you get the entire Google Play marketplace to get the latest and best Android apps and games.

Gionee Elife S5.5 will only come in one memory option and that is 16 GB. There is no slot for adding external memory card which is a bad idea. Gionee should have provided an external memory card slot for adding more memory later on. Gionee Elife S5.5 will be available in 5 different colors which are black, white, pink, blue and purple.

You will be able to get Gionee Elife S5.5 for $370 and it will be available in India from March.
